Just a simple collared shall that closes with a broach that way it can be reversible.

The Shop

Day 8 and the framing and siding are done!! now just all the other stuff. Very Exciting! The next couple of weeks we will be preparing for my brother who will be doing all the electrical He will be flying out from California for a long weekend over New Years. Now all we need is some fresh snow to clean things up and so that my brother will get a chance to do some snowmobiling while he is here.

One Last Project Before Christmas!!!

Ok, Ok, One last project before I Close the Shop for the Holidays.

The assignment- Make this old Chair presentable again!! Well how could I resist, Look at it's cute shape!!!!!! but it had seen better days for sure! ( apparently the Cat took a shinning to it and used it as a scratching post) . Oh yah and it will need 2 "outfits" one for Spring/Summer and another for Fall/ Winter. Special instructions from the Client- Just do what you do!!!!

If we Build it, will they come???

Well the project is officially under way! My new studio, I am so Excited. Framing began on Monday of this week and I cant believe how fast these guys are!!! Not to mention that they are working in the middle of a Minnesota winter where temps are in the teens! I have been Re Creating out of my basement/ Living room/ laundry room for 4 years now and I cant tell how lucky I feel that I will have my own work shop. Soon people will be able drop off projects and pick them up right out the front double doors of the shop. No more trying to squeeze a chair or couch through the regular sized front or back door of my house, always a Challenge!!! And to answer the question, If we build it ..... I think the answer is yes, I am already booked into April with projects. I cant believe it!!!

Christmas Time

Well I have spent the last few days decorating for Christmas and trying to get some things listed on eBay (since my Sewing machines are in the shop and I don't have them as a distraction) and I have to say that I have gotten a good start on both! but also have a ways to go on both! Anyhow this is one of my latest projects that I put together for eBay and I love the way that it turned out! I have to say this one has been sitting around the house for a couple of weeks. I have been trying to decide if I wanted to list it or not! But I did! so there go, its listed and hopefully someone out there will decide that they cannot live without it!
Big day today, I get to have a day out with the girls and I am so excited! Its always a blast to spend a day with Susan and Deanna, we are going to check out all the occasional sales in Buffalo and I'm sure there will tons of inspiring things to look at, and there's always something that I can't live without that I must bring home!

So Lucky

Yesterday I was so excited when my honey came home cause with him he had yet another load of goodies for me from his Big Sis Camilla (The Garage/Estate Sale Queen!!!) She is a year round shopper and I benefit greatly from her love of the hunt!! I simply put in my order and voila in no time at all I have boxes and bags of treasures at my door. Mainly fabric Lace and trims of all sorts. This picture is just a small sampling of some of the beautiful vintage fabrics that she found this time around. I even received a Sewing machine. I told Camilla a couple of weeks ago that I wanted one to have on hand as a spare so that I would have an emergency back up, and so it was delivered promptly! its an oldie but thats exactly what I wanted, Somthing basic and solid! and now all I need to do is take it in for a little tune up, How lucky Can one woman be???

Time to Share

Well I guess that its time to share some of my past projects. Scarrrryyyy to put your self out there sometimes but here we go ... three chairs that I put together for The Hog Shed.

This Chair is one that I put together for Fall/Christmas last year and one of my favorites, with its cute little footstool, pillow and throw to match! One of my favorite things to do when I put together a projects is to mix Fabrics for a Fun Cottage look.


The Hog Shed is A cute little shop in Lester Prairie Minnesota that I sell some of my Re Creations threw and yes it really was a hog shed! many years ago. Claire Baxter is the owner operator and creative genius behind the whole thing and she does a beautiful job in putting the shop together every month.


This is a Chair that I put together for Christmas last year in beautiful reds!

Now on to chair number three! this is a chair that I put together this past fall. I had found the fabrics earlier this summer and loved them so I was excited to finally get it put together and see what it would turn out like ( they never turn out exactly like I plan them but that's the fun of the whole thing )
