A LoveSeat for Elizabeth

What a fun project and great piece of furniture one of those super well made good quality pieces that just needed a little update.

Here she is with a brand new look Elizabeth chose a Toile from Waverly with a check and a floral to mix things up abit.
I decided to make it reversible. I think the floral is perfect for spring/Summer and the toile is great for a fall/winter look.  either way I'm very happy with her new look.
Have a great rest of the week!
Also I am booked until the middle of June Please contact me
if you would like to get on my calender.

A Chair for The Junk Bonanza

look at what I found at the local thrift store!  I love the shape of this chair cute little curved wings and petite arms and its a rocker to boot.

I had to take a picture of the legs in the front they are wheels the back legs are not, hubby says that it's so you can lift up the back of the chair and wheel it where ever you want. so clever.
                                                                          Before
here is the after picture I found the fabric at Mills End  its a great Chris Stone print a grey/taupe pattern on a creamy background  that I paired with a quilted taupe solid fabric for a little added detail

                                                                              After
A kick pleat and a zipper in the back for easy removal.  This fabric washes up beautifully!
This Chair will be available for sale at the Junk Bonanza I'll be there with Claire at the Hog Shed booth on Thursday the 18th.
Hope to see you there

A Simple slip for Susan

I'm back from a great vacation and getting caught up on blog posts that should have been done before I left. This is a love seat for a client that wanted a super simple slipcover that would be easy easy easy to take off an wash alot because in her words " I will be eating on it and don't want to worry about spilling anything"

We used a simple natural duck cloth and made it even simpler by not even having to put a zipper in it because of  the narrow square arm's.

sweet and simple got to love that!
Have a great weekend.
I'll be back next week with a couple of other projects I'd like to share.
