Finish the couch that I'm working on for the living room pick a chair to redo for the living room and possibly a new table for the dinning room, get mothers day gifts finished and shipped! oh ya and get some things listed on eBay hence the picture of the purse!! new pattern for summer. I'm finding it hard to concentrate on work when I am wanting to get my house freshened up for summer. oh well we will see how far I get!

Something "new" for the house

Well here it is and yes I know that I doesn't look "new" but hopefully it will when I'm done with it! This is a couch that I found at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago for 20.00 and it's a sleeper sofa to boot! this is one of the projects that I had on my to do list for this spring. I sold my last living room sofa and chair set at my fall garage sale " cause it was old and very uncomfortable and have been using the sofa that goes in the porch throughout the winter, well it's almost time to get the porch in order so I was in need of a sofa for the lining room. I love the shape of this one so I will be slip covering it and Viola " new" living room furniture I hope to have it finished this week!

Ballet Dude

Well here he is... This is my Son Shayne's new passion, Ballet! He Just started lessons this year and is loving it and is one of the most graceful dancers I've seen. OK maybe I'm a little prejudice but for his first year of dance he really shines. You can just tell when he is dancing that he really loves it.

Competition was a bit disappointing for him this year as they did not win any big metals but I think the judges were into more of the jazz and tap numbers and they were really fun to watch I have to say. I think Shayne's group was the only ballet number. I asked him if he would consider doing a jazz or tap number for the next competition and his reply was NO WAY! I'm doing ballet again! OK OK, sorry I even mentioned it.

Workin on the Kitchen

Well the whole thing started out innocently enough with just wanting to freshen up the paint in the kitchen for spring and before I knew it I had invested 4 days and 35.00 in .. no not paint ( I had some left overs from painting the work shop ) and I used just a little bit of craft paint for the leaves and vines that I painted on the walls. So what did I spend the 35.00 in? well it was shelf liner of all things! I figured it was time to freshen up that part of my kitchen too. so while at target looking for a paper towel rack I found some perfectly spring shelf liner and I picked up a couple of rolls of it. then, went back and got a couple more roll cause I ran out and then I had to send my son to get 2 more rolls!!! wow I knew I had lots of cupboard space but I didn't know it would take 6 rolls of the stuff. to get them all done but I love the way it turned out its so mice to open the cupboards and see pretty shelves. next maybe some new pots and pans!

The rest of my time was spent Cleaning organizing and getting these vines painted on the walls. I had painted the kitchen a couple of weeks ago already but it was so plain. I decided to add a little extra something I think I like it . but we will see how long I keep it I know that it will be too light for fall. but fall is months from now, right?

New Living Room For Stephanie and Family

Ok so this isn't Stephanie's new living room ( its my workshop ) but we are getting her some slip covers for her "Very Loved" Furniture, I would love these for my own home there so big and soft and so comfy! So far this week I have completed the couch and chair and a half . Next, an Ottoman and some pillows. I really like the way they turned out the fabric that Stephanie picked out for the projects was SO nice to work with, it just made it fun.

Soon she will have a new living room and that's always a good thing! and I'm sure Stephanie and her family will enjoy having furniture to sit on again.

Something for Spring!

Just in the nick of time, I finally get to working on the Spring Chair
that I had committed to making for The Hog Shed

Of course the the last project that I finish up with was the biggest one! but none the less it did get finished. Another sweet little swivel rocker. I found this beautiful pink floral fabric this winter and knew I wanted to do something with it. I just hope that someone else sees the beauty in it.
Now, on the another totally unrelated subject, I finally got my Laptop for for the shop and I am in the proses of trying to get familiar with it along with loading my favorite programs. Some are working and some are not! I am not computer literate I only know enough to do what I need to do so this, I fear will take longer than I anticipated My Photo editing program is not liking the new Computer another thing to figure out.

Travelin

Summer is coming right? well I hope so, although you wouldn't know it by looking out my window but I will have faith that soon I will be sitting outside with my morning coffee, my lunch, my 2:00 break on the dock and dinner by the B B Q. but for now I am getting things put together for eBay and The Hog Shed. yesterdays mission was a Travel Tote for eBay and then some work on a very springy slip covered chair for The Hog Shed. Today I think another travel tote and finish up that chair so that I can get things droped off for the next sale, and then at some point I probably should go grocery shopping and clean up the house and the list go on..... Maybe even get started on some of my personal to do list!!
