Taking Lunch !!

As I was looking around on the Internet for fabrics and inspiration the other day I found a pattern for lunch bags and thought What a GREAT idea!! so I thought and thought and thought about it and finally went out to my work shop and grabbed a beautiful Vintage Barkcloth and some pot holder interfacing that I use for my tea cozy's and got right to work! I love it what a great way to GO GREEN a reusable lunch sack made of recycled old Curtains and its pretty too. My first thought was to try and use old news papers at the insulation because I remember hearing that they used to use newspapers as quilt batting during the depression but could not find any information on it. So I tried it with the newspaper but it did not work out so well when I went to make sure it was washable (Big mess) So... If anyone out there happens to have any info. on a good idea for a washable insulation for these lunch bags I love to here it. Anyhow here it is for now. for sale on eBay. Thanks for stopping

Something fun for Ebay

After finishing up my latest "real" project in the workshop this week I decided to do some cleaning and organizing which included some purging too! This is a little chair was given to me by my sweet brother in law a couple of years ago knowing that I am a slipcoverer he picked up at a garage sale. It's a little doll chair( American Girl I think ). My original idea was to slipcover it and set it in the shop for decoration but things have gotten a little tight around here so I looked through my fabric stash and and found some cute fabric to cover it with so that I could list it on EBay and hopefully make a couple of extra bucks. I really like the way that it turned out. The fabric was perfect scale for this little set. I whipped it up yesterday and got it listed this morning. Hope someone will find it irresistible!
I have to admit the whole time I was putting it together I was remembering how much fun I had with all my baby dolls as a little girl... yes I was a baby doll girl! I loved them all.
Where you a baby doll girl too?

Travelin

Summer is coming right? well I hope so, although you wouldn't know it by looking out my window but I will have faith that soon I will be sitting outside with my morning coffee, my lunch, my 2:00 break on the dock and dinner by the B B Q. but for now I am getting things put together for eBay and The Hog Shed. yesterdays mission was a Travel Tote for eBay and then some work on a very springy slip covered chair for The Hog Shed. Today I think another travel tote and finish up that chair so that I can get things droped off for the next sale, and then at some point I probably should go grocery shopping and clean up the house and the list go on..... Maybe even get started on some of my personal to do list!!
