A New Look For Joanne

 Here are the before shots

and here are the after shots    I love the way they all turned out  the couches with the wings just look so classic to me.
here is most of the love seat  (I had a real hard time getting all the after pictures  the shop was pretty full)
and here is the chair  I really love the way it turned out
what a difference new fabric makes!
Joanne purchased enough of the floral fabric to make some pillows for the couch and love seat  I just love the new look!

Something Special for Sally

Here is the chair before. Its a swivel rocker
and here is her after. Sally picked out a great red polyester fabric that had a really nice sheen to it
Sally decided on a kick pleat skirt and buttons down the back
we carried the piping all the way down the inside back, like it was on the original chair.
thanks for stopping  and have a great weekend ( I think we are going to get some sunshine here)

Something Special for Susan

My Girl friend Susan wanted another slipcover for her couch  this time all white linen. No special instructions so I had my way with this one, a little ruffled skirt
Ruching  on the cushion that gave it a little bit extra in the detail department
A couple of white linen and lace pillows with the fabric that was left over
and a corset tie down the back   I'm really excited to get it back to her!

Update

I thought I'd do a quick update on the chair that I did last week. When my client came to pick it up she loved it with the exception of the skirt  she was hoping it would be just a little longer  and  since we did not have any more of the main fabric we decided to use some of the pipping fabric to do a little double ruffle  so while she went to have a lunch with a friend I was able to get her all fixed up.
I like it  even better with a bit of length added. and so did she!

A Cottage Cutie for Margo

Again, another great older piece of furniture super solid and sturdy but not what Margo wanted in   her room makeover
she was thinking a little bit more cottage-ie and I love the way it turned out  she didn't have quite enough of the main fabric so she opted for a green check for the piping. I love the contrast of pipping on the chair
we went with a corset tie down the back
and a short ruffle skirt .    A whole different chair!
Thanks for stopping  have a great rest of the week

Cute loveseat for Karin

what a great old piece of furniture  ... you would not believe how heavy this gal is! This is her before
and here is the after
Karin had some matelasse  bedspreads she wanted to make a slipcover out of.  We thought it would be best to use the existing scalloped edging for the skirting and thankfully we had enough.
for the back cushions we simply cut down a couple of pillow shams and it was a perfect fit!
I love the way this one turned out...  so clean and simple but with the beautiful detail from the  matelasse texture, that my camera does not seem to be picking up on in these photo's :(
Thanks for stopping.

A LoveSeat for Elizabeth

What a fun project and great piece of furniture one of those super well made good quality pieces that just needed a little update.

Here she is with a brand new look Elizabeth chose a Toile from Waverly with a check and a floral to mix things up abit.
I decided to make it reversible. I think the floral is perfect for spring/Summer and the toile is great for a fall/winter look.  either way I'm very happy with her new look.
Have a great rest of the week!
Also I am booked until the middle of June Please contact me
if you would like to get on my calender.

A Chair for The Junk Bonanza

look at what I found at the local thrift store!  I love the shape of this chair cute little curved wings and petite arms and its a rocker to boot.

I had to take a picture of the legs in the front they are wheels the back legs are not, hubby says that it's so you can lift up the back of the chair and wheel it where ever you want. so clever.
                                                                          Before
here is the after picture I found the fabric at Mills End  its a great Chris Stone print a grey/taupe pattern on a creamy background  that I paired with a quilted taupe solid fabric for a little added detail

                                                                              After
A kick pleat and a zipper in the back for easy removal.  This fabric washes up beautifully!
This Chair will be available for sale at the Junk Bonanza I'll be there with Claire at the Hog Shed booth on Thursday the 18th.
Hope to see you there

A Simple slip for Susan

I'm back from a great vacation and getting caught up on blog posts that should have been done before I left. This is a love seat for a client that wanted a super simple slipcover that would be easy easy easy to take off an wash alot because in her words " I will be eating on it and don't want to worry about spilling anything"

We used a simple natural duck cloth and made it even simpler by not even having to put a zipper in it because of  the narrow square arm's.

sweet and simple got to love that!
Have a great weekend.
I'll be back next week with a couple of other projects I'd like to share.
